Nanny & Me USA was born from lived experience—not theory. As mothers navigating the education system, our founders saw firsthand how families, especially those raising children with special needs, were often left unsupported, overlooked, and forced to fight for the level of care and attention their children deserved. At the same time, they experienced the challenges of finding safe, reliable, and truly understanding childcare.

In 2008, a group of determined moms came together with a shared mission: to create something better—for their children, for families like theirs, and for the caregivers who make it all possible. Among them was Sarah Mitchell, a professional nanny with over a decade of hands-on experience, who had also witnessed how deeply undervalued and under-supported nannies were within the industry.

Together, they built Nanny & Me USA to raise the standard on both sides—ensuring families receive compassionate, dependable care, while empowering nannies with the respect, structure, and opportunities they deserve.

What began as a small, purpose-driven initiative has grown into a trusted nationwide network rooted in advocacy, understanding, and real-life need.
